KISS MI ASS
My latest art project is "Kiss mi Ass"
Kiss mi Ass is about how, as a highly intelligent,
well-educated woman approaching 40, and the mother
of three children, I feel under-valued,
under-appreciated and unacknowledged by a majority
culture that values sex above parenting, puts money
before love, and makes career more important then
friends and family.
Kiss mi Ass is about how the predominant conception
of women is still stuck in objectification, rather
than understanding and employing the true power and
nobility of a strong woman.
Kiss mi Ass is about the need to prostitute
ourselves in order to survive in this society.
Kiss mi Ass is about the fact I've got a nice
bottom, and I'm not scared to use it.

REEL NEWS GAZA SOLIDARITY NIGHT 25 JAN 6PM - FREE
We 're devoting the whole of our monthly residency
at the Foundry this month over to Gaza, in order to
contribute to building a movement to free Palestine
and stop the Zionist project, hopefully similar to
the one that smashed apartheid in the eighties...
FEATURING footage from the heart of the protests including:
demos at the Israeli embassy
the huge marches
the current wave of occupations, including SOAS and LSE
arguments to counter the Israeli propoganda machine
PLUS Ilan Pappe on the history of Palestine,
AND the brilliant film "The Iron Wall"
- essential viewing for understanding the situation.
SPEAKERS from the campaigns will be present to
contribute to a discussion on where the movement
goes from here...

ALEX WIDDOWSON
The video art of Alex Widdowson explores
transitional states of consciousness. His work
shows moments when the mind moves between
perception of the external world to an internal
landscape of imagination and thought. We find
ourselves in a land without terrain, where only
the processes of psyche exist.
