YO! WHAT HAPPENED TO PEACE?
International Artists Gather in London To Promote Peace
"Yo! What Happened to Peace?" is a traveling art
exhibition of contemporary peace posters from
international artists, promoting the message of
non-violence while showcasing the beauty of
hand-crafted printing. Shoreditch, London's landmark
venue The Foundry (86 Great Eastern Street) will
host the Yo! show's first appearance in the U.K..
Opening night is Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 from
7pm to 11pm, featuring DJs Chris Read and Danny
Delta, live painting by SheOne and new artwork from
Inkfetish and Beat96, and live printmaking with
Ciaran Bulman (Ireland), Olive47 (USA), Ra (USA) ,
Sminz (Italy), and Terratag (UK).
New pieces by Robert Del Naja (of Massive Attack),
Winston Smith and Gee Vaucher will join over 250
prints that have stirred critical dialogue about the
world's growing peace movement. The show also
includes work by Ames Bros., Chaz Bojorquez, Robbie
Conal, Eric Drooker, Emek, Shepard Fairey/OBEY,
Karen Fiorito, Firehouse, Brandy Flower, Futura,
Gustavo Garcia Vaca, Kayrock & Wolfy, Josh
MacPhee, Mear One, Favianna Rodriguez, Seripop, Yuri
Shimojo, Seth Tobocman and many others. The Yo!
What Happened To Peace? book catalogs the show's
extraordinary collection of hand-crafted prints in
144 pages of color images.
"Yo! What Happened to Peace?" began in 2003 during
the march to war in Iraq. It has rapidly expanded
from 14 posters to an international exposition
featuring the work of over 130 artists, many of them
prominent culture makers in their home countries.
The Yo! Show's 2007 European tour continues in
London following recent exhibitions in Rome and
Brussels. Previous exhibitions have taken place in
Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Milan,
Rejkyavik, Washington D.C., and Chicago.

WHAT NOT TO SHARE
The What Not To Share campaign celebrates a year of
raising awareness in young people to the dangers of
transmitting hepatitis C with a major exhibition of
Charlotte MacMillan's portraits.
35 portraits taken over the past year will be
exhibited featuring key celebrity supporters
including: Sadie Frost, Pete Doherty & Babyshambles,
Dirty Pretty Things, Kano, Roots Manuva, Johnny
Marr, Lily Allen, Rufus Wainwright, Kevin Roland,
Jack Davenport, James Lavelle and Alan McGee.
Hepatitis C is a highly destructive disease. It can
be transmitted by piercing, tattoos, transfusion,
injection, sharing toothbrushes or razors, dental
work and, sharing notes to snort drugs. It attacks
the liver and can lead to cirrhosis, liver cancer
and liver failure. It is responsible for 50-75% of
liver cancers and it is currently a bigger killer in
the West than HIV.

The subject of continued controversy, the London
rickshaw trade has changed the face of late night
Soho. But behind the media stories and the court
cases, the international community of workers - a
broad mix of people from students to inveterate
wanderers - have rarely been exposed.
Seen through the eyes of a former rider, The London
Rickshaw Riders brings into focus an extraordinary
sub-culture where the streets of the West End play out
to a nightly hunt for reward and accommodation is won
by the physical acquisition of abandoned properties.

My paintings ask questions about the nature of
consciousness. They look at how concepts of
consciousness can be represented, the ways different
cultures have found to understand and show it, and
their and our attitudes towards the consciousness of
other living things.

RED NOVEMBER
This is the colour of street burlesque of Sydney
Australia. The persons in the photo shoot are all my
good friends we all work and play together its lots
of fun, we always cause chaos as passing cars pull
over to get a glimpse of the action, these street
shows are never advertised as they are always
sporadic (spur of the moment).
I always have my camera at hand so this expo came
out of one nights shooting.
